Our History

In July 2020, GK FOODS LIMITED was founded as a rural-based agribusiness company located in Busesa Town,Bugweri District,Eastern Uganda. Founded with intent of processing grains for human consumption such as Rice, Beans, Soya, Groundnuts, Millet, Sorghum and Maize.

GKFoods Ltd is certified by Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) under Permit (06474-0180-0039, we grew into a diversified business with more than 8 products in our company portfolio. We own mills, pre-cleaning, grading and packaging machinery to enable us offer high quality products to our clients.
We provide market linkage services to the Agribusiness value chain in Eastern Uganda, through processing, packaging, marketing and distribution

We bring the only local rice products under the Busesa Rice brand.

To be the premier provider of affordable well packaged and branded products from the produce of rural farmers in Eastern Uganda,while improving their access to modern post-harvest handling skills and markets to maximize value, in the agribusiness value chain.
